We are opening the Innovation Café also virtual in the near future!

virtual-cafe.jpg

This can sound quite special; how can the coffee or cafeteria atmospheres be enjoyed as virtual. We indeed intend to test this here in the cafe of our technology center.

Our idea started from the fact that we found out that the many genuine innovations are created when the people meet genially by the coffee cups and when the sources of information are near. So we launched Logistia Innovation Cafe. We got the small library also to our Cafe.

Our next idea was , that we call to our Innovation café interesting speakers to talk about the current themes. However, Kauhajoki is located far off from the universities and from the big cities. We got the idea that we can call speakers through Internet here, as virtual. We of course can record the speeches and discussions and they are found “in our virtual cafeteria from which they can be followed any time and from anywhere, even from home and of course to take refreshing coffee, however, self perhaps boiled. The first lecturer visit of our innovation café will be 31.10. The lecturer will come also rightly there but we record the opportunity to our virtual café. The pages are found www.logistia.net.

We begin the operation of this virtual cafeteria with a thought that it is not important to get hundreds of people physically there but to give an opportunity to participate in them to those who are really interested in, even if they were far or do not really then get there.

Suit Networks

It has been a joy to follow the cooperation between the companies which takes place at our technology center. Involved in the cooperation there has also been the professor of logistic systems Petri Helo. His office is located in Logistia. Logistia is an excellent example of the cooperation between the companies. Good example of this is Suit Networks. It is a network which concentrates on logistics and on information management. The core of the network are the three entrepreneurs: Arto Räikkönen Mobida Oy, Pekka Metsäranta Neviso Oy and Jarmo Peltoniemi Kuljetusliike Jarmo Peltoniemi Ky.

The first concrete product of the network is the suitRekkamies which is the comprehensive control service for working time of the transport company. It is intended to extend this intensifying service of transport companies to cover other important functions as location, the control of the equipment, the control of customer data and load information.

The technology centers are significant innovation environments and centers of the promotion of the entrepreneurship. Especially our Logistia-cafeteria operates as a incubator to many good ideas.
