The companies of Logistia cluster produce the tailored systems of the material handling to the customers. These systems are big projects of which numerous stages are needed through the project.
The companies of Kauhajoki are medium-sized or small companies. The worker must know how to make several different assignments during the project, among others, welding and mounting.
We interviewed the companies of the Logistia cluster about the developing of the education for the future. The companies hoped that the vocational education would be diversified.
Furthermore, among others, the understanding of technical drawings would have to be practiced more.
The readiness of the language skill which is related to the assignments would have to be improved. The language skill is needed in the future also at the workplaces; already now the staff is multinational in several companies in Kauhajoki. Perhaps some of the workers will come even from Vietnam in the near future.
