In virtual laboratory materialhandling systems visual to customers
We just visited the unique virtual laboratory CAVE(Cave Automated Virtual Environment) The laboratory is located in the Technology unit of Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences ,about 60 km from our Technology centre Logistia.
We became acquainted with the virtual conveyor line of beer bottles and to the robot which stacks beer baskets. We wandered in the virtual center of Seinäjoki.
The material handling companies could utilise the possibilities of the virtual laboratory, when they show the new solutions of the material handling to the customer to their production. This would be an extremely visual and impressed method.
CAVE is used for the visualizing of the three-dimensional structures that have been created with the computer in the virtual state in which the virtual reality created by the computer hardware surrounds the user from five pages. This illusion is created by misleading the sights and senses of hearing with the 3D stereo graphics and with the spaceandsoundsystem. Furthermore, location equipment with the help of which the computer hardware draws the stereo picture from the user’s perspective is used. Additional information from here.
