The start of the Logistia Institute progresses. Now we are planning the training program of the Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Administration. There would be a lot of courses of the logistics along. The surplus value to the studies would come from the cooperation with the Logistia companies. This cooperation would be company excursions, professionals as visiting lecturers, the trainee’s jobs in the companies and the common seminars with staff from the current themes. The education is arranged by the open University of University of Vaasa with a local partner in cooperation. The Logistia Institute would be as a bridge to the companies. In the education it is intended to use methods of eLearning for the distance education.

We had yesterday a visitor from Techvilla Technology centre. The director of logistics, Jorma Härkönen visited at Logistia. He demonstrated LIMOWAn (Lifting-moving-warehousing) to us. LIMOWA collects the experts of the logistics centres in the same network, LIMOWA Cluster. In Finland there is a lot of know-how of this field. There are now for example under construction logistics centers of the mega size to Turku and to Kerava. Russia as the export target of logistics centers is a goal. We became yesterday a member of LIMOWA ry. We are the 33th member. I am sure that Logistia and the companies of Kauhajoki have on a lot know-how to the logistics centers. Our companies are experts of material and data flows, automatic storehousing, delivery logistics etc.. We wish good co-operation, success and results to LIMOWA and logistics centers!
Our technology center is an interesting visit place in Kauhajoki. During two weeks we have had international guests from several countries. We had the 30 person group of German young people from the area Main-Tauberin visited by us. It was nice to tell about Logistia when the public was active and asked good questions. From Poland a 6 person group of the developers visited. They were interested in the development program of our cluster. I told especially the realization of the technology center, developing of the Logistia brand, the operation of the study professorship and the business incubator
A week ago we had visitors from Brazil. They are here as the guests of the international exchange program of the Rotary organization.
Also the cooperation with the upper secondary school of Kauhajoki continues; the student groups will visit us and hear about the jobs our companies offer. We have maintained the Logistia exhibition for already over two years in our technology center. The exhibition has proved to be very necessary. Welcome to visit!
