Material handling companies of Kauhajoki have begun export to India. Our neighbour,  Pesmel also has a company  at Mumbay, Pesmel India Ltd.
Also several other companies of Logistia Cluster already have gotten references in India.

Here is the current economic report of India, the facts are from presentation of Finpro. From the effect of the recession there also are some views.

India’s economic growth has been y 2007-2008 8,7%. The gross national product is 720 billion euros. India is the 12th biggest economy of the world. Every tenth millionaire of the world will come from India. The middle class grows fast. Still there are 300 millions of the poor, however. The inflation is now 11%.

In addition to the uneven division of the development, the problems of India are, the adequacy of resources, such as water and energy. The infrastructure still requires hard inputs of the state (electricity, public traffic, IT ..).
Care of the employment, education, the public health service are the big challanges. The drags of the development also are terrorism and corruption. The environment is a challenging problem.

The recession also have effects in India. The growth prognosis of the GNP  is 7-7,5%. The external value of the rupee has fallen about 20%. The export will decrease. The foreign direct investments also will decrease and the investment decisions to India have been put off. The domestic demand also is on the decrease. The unemployment and the political instability are consequences of these.

Finland exports to India telecommunication devices, paper, machines and devices of the industry. To the companies of Kauhajoki India is an extremely potential export destination country.
